had an experience tonight. First batch of "special cookies" I have ever made. or actually i should just say it was the dough cause it has to freeze over night, go figure. Anyway it was an experience thats for sure. When I say special cookies though I mean cookies that aren't just put a chocolate chip in and watch it rise, no these cookies involve like multiple steps on multiple days or as my mommy put it "More quality mother son bonding time :) (mommy knows best they say)"
anyway the actual putting it all together. Now most people would say this is simple, I mean after all, all you are doing is reading the recipe, putting it all in a bowl and mixing it together. How hard could it be...?? Right... Well you forget I'm challenged in the kitchen. Not to mention my mom decided to make this a triple batch (that means tripe the recipe for anybody who didn't catch my cooking lingo). So now I have to multiply these lovely fractions out, its easy when its 1/2 but then when its 1 3/4 holy cow that was a brain buster. It's 5 1/4 by the way ;) No the greatest thing was watching me put everything together, cause when I would pour sugar or any other substance in I would make a mess of it. don't ask me how I do it, I just do. So the kitchen looked like my lawn out front, full of white powder when I was done :). I thought my mom would knife me with the spoon. In the end though it should turn out yummy and tasty cause hey its hard to mess up a good batch of cookies right :)
Went shopping today too. That was fun, cept it involved spending 90 dollars and when you don't have a job, that money is hard to earn back. It will be worth it though when I see their faces on Christmas :) Ahh 4 days of school left this year. Then 6 months and we are done and its XC training time. Lets just skip track and go right to XC training time. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
your not alone,
Jeffrey
