That is what the start to our cross country race in wausau looked like. Only our race last season had about 6 more lanes going left. Our team didn't even get to fit into the lane assigned to us, we had to take someone elses and push them into the trees seen on left :) Over 180 runners in our heat alone. that is what i live for. when that gun goes off, everyone sprints out to get to the bridge (not visible in this picture) barely 300 meters away on the right side of this photograph. Also not shown is how the last 150 meters looks like your running on a hill, the ground is uneven. This is smiley invite, although I can promise you that you would not be smiling once you finished this race. :< No greater feeling then sprinting out of your lane, nothing compares. you can drain 3 pointers all day long, you can strike out hundreds of batters, score 6 touchdowns in a game and none not a single one of those accomplishments compares to the feeling a true runner gets sprinting out of his lane in a cross country race... 3 weeks.....

Diving into cold, blue... hearing water rush past your ears... flipping, pushing off hard... speeding back... touching the smooth wall... Yeah I think I understand that feeling you get from running.
i don't know about that keels... no feeling can match that running feeling. Its a sensation unique to running, you probably have a sensation totally unique to swimming, true both have adrenaline flows, and both have endorphine release, but that feeling i get while running is not anywhere near the feeling i get while i swim.
That's because running is your niche. The high Keely feels from swimming may just be the same you feel from running, but that doesn't mean you have to get that feeling when you swim, or Keely when she runs.
THANK YOU MY FRIENDS!!!!
can't we all just get along? lol
laser!!!! no aman no!! just no. laser is horrid. you have to sprint out over the road, then you have to go around those stupid evergreen trees, then up that retarded hill, no aman, no. laser is not that great a start. the best start is by far slinger.
okay everyone i will just refuse to comment back anymore. if i just overanalyze every fucking thing that people say!!!!
well i think that East Troy is the best with all of the hills it really shows the guts of a runner and what a human body can endure, i dont know about swimmers but have you ever had the feeling where you are on your 7th mile in practice or half way through a race and you just feel like you can run anymore and then you get the runners high, your whole body becomes rejuvenated and you feel like you could run forever, endorphins screaming in your body telling you to go faster and faster. I love a runners high, nothing compares to it i dont care what a swimmer says lol. Is there even a swimmers high?
East Troy isn't too bad except for the fact that at the one mile marker you have the like U-turn where you lose all your speed, or at least i did, and that stone path at the start was annoying.
For crying out loud! I'm sorry I ever said anything!
i don't respect a flip flopper.
es verdad. I smell :(
Well actually Andy I think the best course is maybe Sectionals in a way. It doesn't have as many hills... but the one hill that I do recall is awesome because its straight up and right after the mile marker. Lots of people fell back right there i recall. Plus that course was insane because every step was into a massive puddle. Intensely water logged.
laser was an awesome meet but i still feel sectionals would be better in nicer weather.
wait aman do you like the hills in courses or not?? I personally love courses with a lot of hills. And sectionals has like 2 hills so technically i should like East Troy more. Hmmm..
