Seasons Over :(
As the title very well explains, the XC season for my Junior year is over. Now don't worry, I'm not going to go emo nor am I going to be all depressed or slit my wrists or anything crazy like that. Nah, thats just stupid. I enjoyed my season and I am proud of how far I came. After all, until mid July I couldn't even run, so coming around to run a 17:13 is a huge accomplishment to me. Unfortunately I couldn't beat Andy or Nate's PR, but there is always next year.
Sectionals was a crazy race, I went from 10th roughly at the mile mark to 18th or so at the 2 mile and then 25th at the finish. That is not a good way to run a race for those of you who aren't well versed in runnerese. The sad part is that I don't think I could have run a much better first two miles, so thats really depressing to think that they are just that much better then me physically. However, my third mile was slow as molasses on a dry day and deserves to be shot. Still though, I ran the best race I could have run under the circumstances, I gave it everything I had and for that I am both proud and satisfied. For everyone who came out to cheer us on, thank you very much and I appreciated it greatly. And ohh last but most certainly not the least, Ali Lorge made it to state!!!! She took 5th overall with a crazy fast 15:48 and she is an amazing runner. Congratulations Ali and good luck at State!!
Now on to track and hopefully state there, or maybe even better Penn Relays???
It's been a pleasure, enjoy :)

Hey...
I'm glad you decided not to go emo! and as long as you ran your best race, that's all that counts. And think about it, it could have been worse- at least you weren't nutted lol! Well i'm sorry it didn't have the outcome you wished for, but you always have next year and track. Well, I hope your okay... and have fun working tomorrow! Maybe being at shopko will lift your spirits, just think of your review!

No, you won't slit your wrists...you'll slit your ankles. ;-)
Haha, I'm glad that you were satisfied with your race and ran as hard as you could! For being injured last spring/part of summer, you did really well this season!!!!!!!!! Now don't train to hard this winter and maybe you will actually get to compete in track this year!!!!!!!!!!!!
