Team Dinner Tonight!! Meet tomorrow :(

I haven't updated this in a while and really I should be cleaning up the house right now for that team dinner, but I'm not really in the mood to do that so I am going to wait until my songs are done playing then I'm off to clean the bathroom- oh joy.

I feel like I could post some results of what we have done as a boys team so far this season but there would ultimately be no point to that since the meets have been largely insignificant plus they have been in the paper. In addition, they are on the boys track web site so I highly suggest checking it out, its pretty sweet.

I'm pretty nervous about tomorrow, not nervous as in stomach queasiness, more that I know I am running for a slot for the regional and sectional 4x800 and tomorrows going to be the best team I consider that we can put out. The pressure and competition is extraordinary to be on both the 4X400 and the 4X800 teams for us this year. Everyone wants to be part of the teams that won last year, it's insane. Have to get up at 6:45 for this meet too, that bites. Stupid meet in Madison :P

I went to my conferences today with the teachers and I also received my report card, I was really sad on Wednesday because my mom had gone online and printed off my 3rd quarter grades ahead of time. On it I had received an A- in Adelante and otherwise I had an A in every class. I can't really tell you how many times I have had an A in every class but one (usually that one is a spanish class too). However, when I had my conference with Mrs. Mahoney today, she told me to my very good delight that she had found a worksheet of mine that she had misplaced and I had never gotten a grade on. That grade moved my grade up to an A and for the first time in high school I finally got the straight A's I have been craving but not working desperately hard to get. It made my morning. :)

Uh-oh, here comes the violin, that means the song is about 20 seconds from ending. Sadness. Everyone enjoy your 3 day weekend and don't get blown away by the apparent Hurricane Katrina of grafton.

I'm so bored that I'm forced to write a post

Our group just finished our film project for English, how exciting. 11 days in advance no less. Nifty thrifty.
I feel like changing up the color for this part, well, just because I can. Maybe once again, this color looks better on here so I'm sticking to it.
Ha and you believed that. ANYWAY...... first track meet on Wednesday was a blast, I only had to run a 800 which for those of you who are nontrackees thats 2 laps around the outdoor track, 5 around the track we were on. It was a quick race and an exciting way to start the season, hopefully the time will go down a lot by the end of the season though. Then yesterday at UWM, we had our first Varsity track meet, and I got to run the mile and the first spot in our 4X800. We took 4th in the 4X8 and received a medal, and then in the mile I took 13th of 30. Andy took 2nd!! It was awesome to watch him run. It was massive pwnage :)
Everyone did really well, Brad Wigh ran a very exceptional 2 mile to capture 6th place and a medal, a 10:44; thats flying for this time of the season. Smart, Ben, Andy, and Hallemen all ran exceptionally well in the 4X4 and took 5th so overall it was a delightful day for the Grafton track team. Look for Kriegel to be smiling come Monday, however, don't expect Brogelman too (he doesn't like to smile, he feels it exposes too much of his inner being).

I have been trying to read my 40 Days of Purpose book again, and its turning out to be quite a chore. At first I was right on pace, but now i have fallen 3 days behind, and it's very difficult to get yourself to catch up once you fall that far behind. I know, I know, I should never have let it get that far behind, but its hard to read it when you get home from a track meet at 11:30 at night. Excuses, no good are they.......

Don't ask me why, but I always want to give it another try.

Adios amigos (and amigas of course)

Everythings better with a box of chocolates

Thats a good quote, don't you think thats a good quote?? I think it's a good quote. Delightfully simple. Abstractly happy. Frighteningly true. oh how life is better with a box of chocolates (especially when you can in turn eat as many as you want and not have to worry in the least about your figure ;)

Anyway, 3rd quarter is nearly done already, isn't that unbelievable?? It started yesterday, and now in 10 days exactly it is over; which absolutely blows because I don't think I can bring my spanish grade up in time to meet the end of the quarter. I was hoping that for once I could achieve a 4.0, maybe feel proud but its gonna be tricky. Ahh who ever said life's a breeze obviously lived in the wrong jet stream :P.

English Justice Project!!! I know this will sound a bit odd but hey its how I really feel... I am partners with Eileen and Sami (even though it sounds more grammatically correct to say Sami and Eileen, I think) and that is awesome. They are both incredibly intelligent and I feel unbelievably lucky/blessed to have them as partners. Thank you God and Sami and Eileen :)

1st track meet tomorrow, I get to run the 800, I'm nervous and excited. Hopefully everyone will do well :)

Everyone enjoy the somewhat warmer yet massively brisk weather and I will ttyl
